On one Wednesday afternoon every month, we close the surgery from 12 pm for Staff Training. To ensure our staff members are all as up-to-date on the ever changing conditions and medical issues in the NHS affecting our patients, we spend one afternoon every month updating ourselves. We hope this will help us help our patients in the best way we can.
On the 24th of February, our reception will close at 1.30 pm instead of 12 pm, but usually we close at 12 pm for training.
During the afternoon closure, we
- Do not accept or process repeat prescription requests
- Do not accept samples from patients
- Do not answer the door or the phone (or a knock on our windows)
- Can not ‘just give you your sick note, prescription, letter, etc’
Please ensure you contact us or arrange any of the above before closing time at 12 pm. We open again at 8 am on Thursday.
During our half-day closing, you can still access medical care if needed. Just phone 111. If you phone the surgery, you will automatically be transferred to the Out of Hours service.
