Over the last year and a half, the surgery has been closed on Wednesday afternoons from 12 pm for Staff training once or twice a month.
During the peak of COVID, training took a back seat and the surgery remained open every Wednesday afternoon.
Now COVID appears to be in a somewhat quieter phase, practices in Barnsley are prioritising staff training once more, to ensure all within the practices are best able to help the patients with their needs. We all know doctors and nurses need to keep up-to-date with their knowledge and skills, but even receptionists have educational needs to help our patients best.
So, from September 2020 onwards, our regular training sessions will start up again. From 12 pm on the afternoons mentioned below, you will not be able to phone or attend the practice for routine or emergency reasons. You will not be able to pick up or order your repeat prescription at that time.
However, you will be able to contact 111 in case of an urgent problem. And, don’t forget, Doctor Link is also available with medical advice 24/7.
