Change to online consultations opening times

Unfortunately, we have received several requests for urgent medical queries via online consultations. Some of these were made during the surgery’s closed hours, like during a weekend.

As such, we have decided to close our online consultations during out-of-hours periods for the safety of our patients. We hope this will prompt patients to seek medical attention immediately rather than patiently wait for the surgery to open on the next working day and for their request to be processed according to our three-working-day processing rule.

We apologise for the inconvenience this will cause our patients who were able to send a request at any time of day that was convenient for them. The risk to the patients who used this method for urgent matters is just felt to be unacceptably high.

Please remember, our online consultations are not suitable for urgent matters. Because of the 3-working-day processing time it should only be used for non-urgent medical and administrative queries.
